The latest update to the popular free-to-play game Fortnite will now see Nintendo Switch owners play against mobile users on iOS and Android. Previously players would play against Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users. One of the reasons the company says that this has been done is because they want players to have an “on-average better per-game experience” You can read all the full patch notes here.

For clarifications, Swith players are not only up against mobile players but also fellow Switch players and the same goes for mobile players.
Plus, the pool is only going to be Switch users vs. mobile users if it’s a solo. If you join someone on PS4, XBox, and PC, and you’re a Switch player, you’ll be included in that pool.

What the fuck, mobile players can have auto fire when your aim overlaps with a person though. Surely this massively skews odds?
PS4/Xbox One rain at double the frame rate which skewed odds harder imo.

Oh come on, that’s just spitting at Nintendo. We were fine before. Making things worse isn’t going to help your rapidly dying game.
You can still play against PS4/Xbox One by joining friends that play on those systems. If you’re playing by yourself or only with other Switch players you won’t play with other consoles. I like this because it makes things more even since Switch runs at half the frame rate of the others.
Yeah except for the fact that the switch version runs at half the frames of the mobile phone version which runs at 60fps also
