Nintendo and Sega recently announced a pair of Olympic Games titles for Nintendo Switch – Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game – the latter of which is in development for multiple consoles, including PlayStation 4. Due to this point, DualShock 4 controllers can be spotted in the upcoming duo’s announcement trailer, which was shared via Nintendo’s official social media channels. You can check it out in the embedded video below:
Warm up for a pair of Olympic Games titles on #NintendoSwitch! This winter, get ready for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020!

The Dual Shocks are obviously for people playing the Sonic at the Olympics or the official Olympics game.
Its the official olympic games the sonic and mario only have switch and the mobile app this article is either bait or alba didn’t watch the video properly to notice that the ps4 controller was shown in offical olympic gamplay segment
Several of Alba’s articles are, unfortunately, of this clickbait-y nature…
While the title isn’t strictly untrue (both Olympic Games games appear in the same video) it does not convey that the controller’s existence clearly points to the Official Olympics game coming to the PS4, but that Mario & Sonic is not.
Nintendo Switch Isn’t Compatible with Dualshock 4 so i doubt it.
actually, it is compatible….
Oki Doki
This shouldn’t be newsworthy. Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game is coming to PS4. Sega is publishing that and Mario and Sonic Olympics.
Uh yeah SEGA is a developers and Nintendo are the Publishers. But SEGA skip the other olympic games.
They will lose sales if cream the rabbit is not on it.
What you said doesn’t make any sense
Now we see how the duel stick works for this game.
Seriously??!! This is the kind of thing that has no place on this site imo. A pointless observation that has no relevance to anything.
I don’t think it’s as pointless as your thought :P
Two thoughts. One, I don’t think a Mario game has ever been on a platform other than Nintendo’s own and mobile, so this is actually a big step. Two, the Switch version will probably be slower and with worse graphics, but will be a lot more fun because of it’s motion controls. And extra thought, I wish the mobile gaming industry would just die already.
But the Mario and Sonic version isn’t coming to PS4. Only the version with normal people is.
Mario is Missing and Mario’s Time Machine, and Mario Teaches Typing were released on PC, and of course the original Mario Bros (not SMB) was released on Atari, Colecovision, and others.
I guess I should have done my research! Either way, could someone please contact the admin? The ps4 controllers were for the normal olympics, not the m&s ones.
Actually, I’m a bit confused. I only saw them playing that other olympic games game on ps4, not the M&S one. Can anybody actually verify this?
Just read my comment at the top the ps4 is for the offical olympic you can tell if you watch the segment infact the ad NA nintendo is using is the one that came from sega japan tweet
I didn’t see your comment. Huh. Someone should probably tell the admin.
