A recent press release has been published on Business Wire from Reputation Institute highlighting the most reputable companies in the United States of America. The companies U.S. RepTrak 100 “is considered the de facto annual ranking of corporate reputation in the U.S.” It is an interesting list in itself, but what’s also great about the list is that Nintendo is placed in ninth place and is the only video game company placed within the top ten in 2019.
The study by Reputation Institute, a data insights technology company and provider of reputation measurement and management services, assessed the reputation of more than 2,200 companies in the U.S. The precedent-setting undertaking included over 167,000 individual ratings and was conducted in January-February 2019.
“Netflix’s achievement, jumping 23 spots to first place in a single year, is unprecedented,” said Reputation Institute Chief Reputation Officer Stephen Hahn-Griffiths. “Increasing the power of its brand globally, innovating as a content creator, exhibiting corporate responsibility, and taking decisive action on important issues all contributed to the company’s giant leap and #1 ranking.
“2019 is a year of significant change,” Hahn-Griffiths said. “Only two companies who made last year’s top 10 repeated this year. So welcome to ‘reputation judgment day,’ when companies are scrutinized on all aspects of their organization’s ethics, leadership, values, and beyond. There really is no longer anywhere to hide.”
The top 10 companies in the 2019 U.S. RepTrak 100 are:

- Whirlpool (NYSE: WHR)
- Rolex
- McCormick & Company (NYSE: MKC)
- Barnes & Noble (NYSE: BKS)
- Hasbro (NASDAQ: HAS)
- Costco Wholesale (NASDAQ: COST)
- Nintendo (OTCMKTS: NYDOY)
- The LEGO Group
I really wouldn’t list Netflix as #1 since they’re raising prices again without the content to make up for it.
And they always take things you signed up for away. It’s an unreliable service.
And they might be going down the dark path of “going woke” & shitting on any fan that is angry over something unrelated to racism or whatever other insult these people fling out to undermine people’s legitimate complaints. Like the guy that said he wasn’t really excited by a trailer for a Netflix original that Brie Larson is the star of.
Well they didn’t call him any labels but they did throw some stupid “Look what Brie Larson has accomplished! What have you done with your life, internet loser!? Your opinion is meaningless!”
I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up going down the dark path,
Can we switch Nintendo with Netflix? Haven’t seen Ninty dunk on a fan in the same way some of these other companies have been doing lately.
