A new month means that Nintendo Switch Online members are about to see the addition of some more NES titles. Nintendo has just confirmed that City Connection, Double Dragon II: The Revenge and Volleyball will be arriving on June 12th. Not excited for City Connection or Volley Ball. But Double Dragon 2: The Revenge I’ve been waiting for, for a while now. Glad to see that finally come onto the Switch. Tho, it would of been nice to have it paired with better stuff. Oh well. Still excited for Double Dragon 2: The Revenge none-the-less.

Even if Nintendo offered zero games w/the subscription, I would still have gotten the subscription. I like playing all kinds of games online w/my friends and family. Why do ppl get so bent out of shape even when they’re given something @ no extra charge? If you don’t like the game, don’t play it. If you don’t like the subscription, end it. I’m pretty excited about being able to play Double Dragon 2 w/my brothers who live many states away. Get a grip ppl! You are acting like children. smh…😔
Yea no additional charge….. aside from 20 dollars a year. You do realize that online used to be free right.

I think some people are upset not because they don’t feel they are getting their money’s worth, but rather because there is no other option for getting classic games on Switch (unless there happens to be a collection for a particular game). Nintendo Online’s retro game offerings seem to be Nintendo’s replacement for the Virtual Console. Nintendo Online is a pretty good value overall, but if you care about selection, it’s a pretty poor replacement so far.
I really hope that they add SNES games during E3. I don’t mind the NES games, but the SNES has some real gems.
I am totally fine with paying £17.99 a year for the online service as the whole package is definitely worth it in my opinion. I do think that these NES offerings are getting worse by the month though and they need to broaden the systems available very soon.
I feel like it isn’t worth it. They can’t bother to let us play with our friends in Mario maker 2, provide us with more online features other than a smartphone app, or give us anything else other than casual nes games.
I’m not sure if any of you have another console, but on the PS4 for example, you are able to voice chat, receive a game every month that’s arguably better than most nes games they release, and ultimately have a way better online experience with more features. Yes it costs more, but if Nintendo needed to charge extra to give us more features, I’d pay it.
The argument of “if you don’t like it, don’t pay it.” doesnt work for me. Choosing to not pay for it doesn’t solve the problem or Nintendo’s lackluster online. I and others should still criticize Nintendo’s shortcomings, so that they can see what their consumers want and improve in the future.
