“More Information Regarding” The Next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Fighter Will Be Shared At Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct

Nintendo’s E3 2019 tournaments have come to a close. The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament did not end with a DLC fighter confirmation, but it was announced when the confirmation would happen. Sakurai appeared in a video to congratulate Team Japan for winning, where he announced that “more information regarding” the next DLC fighter would be shared in the Nintendo E3 Direct that will be taking place this Tuesday. Screenshots of Sakurai’s remarks about the matter are down below.

    1. I’m expecting just one. Then again, it took us this long just to get a new fighter announcement, so who knows?

    2. Banjo Kazooie? Master Chief ? Steve ? Someone not even related to Microsoft? The real question I have is… will this character be shadow dropped during E3 ? I feel they might. Hopefully they drop a character while teasing the next. That would be cool 😎 lol. Wishful thinking..

      1. While I would not want to relay too much information, I can grant you an answer to your questions, in the order they were asked:

No. No. No. That is correct. Not exactly a “shadow drop”, but it will not be long between the Direct and the character’s release either…

But don’t take my word for all of this. Instead, let Nintendo exceed your highest expectations come Tuesday.

    3. There will be 2:
the first will be available the same day or the next days, and there will be a second character, but just as a teaser without release date yet

    1. That’s the problem. If you just show 1 minute for a new character on one side is good because we will see other stuff in the direct but on the other side you want to see more stuff about the new character.

If the character is that DQ protagonist I really don’t care about it. Never played a single DQ in my life

      1. ||They can tease the character during the direct and then let the treehouse to show everything about it…||

    1. Oh yeah definitely can’t wait for yet another anime-style person with a sword, what a great idea.

  1. Oh well. Let’s just get the FE Three Houses DLC fighter out of the way so we can enjoy the final 3 fighters of the pack.

    1. SWKINZURDIA Mr Wolf

No one thinks that Ubisoft might have a role model? Like Assassin’s creed! one of the next four DLC character’s you never know what might happen? Like come on they added the game Assassin’s creed 3 on the Switch.

      1. If Ubisoft gets a character, I would think Rayman would get top priority, no? He fits the best with Nintendo characters, he’s the oldest, he’s shown up on Nintendo platforms for the greatest percentage of his games… only a handful of Assassin’s Creed games have come out on Nintendo platforms, none of the Ezio games did even though he’s probably the single most popular Assassin, and none of the more recent games have. Then again, I like the Rayman games more than the AC ones, so maybe I’m just biased.

  2. SWKINZURDIA Mr Wolf

  3. Shantae or Rayman would be great characters for Smash Bros. And although we don’t need more Sword Fighters, so would Travis Touchdown or Erdrick (of DQ fame).
The coolest Sword fighter would be Zero. And yes, Zero is an Assist Trophy, but we could have the GBA’s Mega Man Zero. Then he wouldn’t just be a sword fighter, but a staff using, shield throwing, gun toting and grappling hook whipping sword fighter.
    Although I’d still prefer Shantae.
