At long last, we now know how long Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct will be. In Japan, fans can head to NicoNicoLive for an official broadcast of the Direct. The page for this year’s Direct just went live, and it says that the Direct will be “approximately 40 minutes”. This is around the same length as the Smash-focused E3 2018 Direct. This year, however, Nintendo did not specify any games that would be getting a focus, so things could get interesting. The wait is almost over, so stay tuned for what will likely be a busy E3 from Nintendo. In the meantime, you can see a screenshot of the English-translated page down below.
Dang, that’s pretty good! I really want a big title to be revealed….
Again; it doesn’t matter to me as long as it announces a lot of games (and not just third-party titles) instead of focusing on just one game.
I don’t want a repeat of last year where most of the press conference was mostly Smash Bros. (or whatever game they want to talk about for this year).
Yeah same here.
How dare you disrespect the best game ever!
Liking the game and NOT liking the press conference that featured it are not mutually exclusive concepts.
||People online are worried about the same, the smash bros weaponry is powerful but they should highlight new releases and let the treehouse to show what the new character can do, but knowing high command smash will take various minutes of the direct…i hope i am wrong…||
If it’s just to show the new character and maybe a new game mode (please be home run contest), then it should be alright.
I hope something big be announced at the end of Nintendo Direct.
It might either be Metroid Prime 4, the next Smash Bros. DLC fighter, or Bayonetta 3.
Mate, Prime 4 is not getting dropped for like 2 years, tamper those expectations.
@Addy
We don’t know that.
For all we know they would show us what they came up with so far before the game’s even finished.
Video game companies do it all the time.
Actually i think Bayonetta 3 and Smash Bros. Metroid Prime 4 is gonna have to wait for a while.
They owe it to is just for a little glimpse of prime 4, even if it is a couple years away.
I’m just hoping for Prime Trilogy if not Prime 4.
So many possibilities
I doubt we will be getting any Prime 4 details, but a Prime Trilogy would be great.
Yeah, I agree. I hope Luigi’s mansion 3 or animal crossing don’t take up all 40 minutes, even though seeing gameplay of either would be hype.
That being said, my expectations aren’t super high, as we do know the existence of several large titles already. I don’t expect every new franchise to get a new game and for mother 3 to get localized xD.
I guess as long as animal crossing/ Luigi’s mansion get gameplay footage and maybe a new surprise or two is announced, I’ll be happy.
If Metroid prime trilogy remastered got announced, I’d scream and cry and it’d instantly be the best lol
I need F-Zero NX!
Metroid Prime Trilogy HD Remaster would be nice.
That would be the best to whet the MP4 fans’ appetite.
||Yes…||
Please no more wiiu ports to replace games that shouldve had sequels…. Mario kart 8, mario bros u, where games that shouldve been new and not ports
Or if they do have to re-release those games, at least re-release them ALONGSIDE the sequel.
Except for Super Mario 3D World Deluxe. I really want that one. I also wouldn’t mind re-getting all the Zelda remasters.
That’s the problem, we pick and chose only what we want, but at the end of the day, we all want something different. So when they remaster a Wii U game, we’re always going to get a part of the fanbase to complain.
I say, remaster the whole library, or non at all.
40-45 Minutes it’s ok. Nintendo Directs are always long like this
Poor Japanese, they’ll have to get up at one in the morning in order to see the Direct live.
As for what I suspect for E3, well, I only expect the expected. Animal Crossing, Luigi’s Mansion, and a new Smash Bros character. I also figure they will throw a game reel like they do with every Direct.
What I don’t expect is Metroid Prime 4 details or a first party 3DS game (although, being Nintendo, you never can tell).
What I really hope for is a Metroid Prime Trilogy remake, Super Mario 3D World Deluxe and a sneak peak of Shantae 4.
And as for what I really don’t expect, yet want to see anyways, is Zelda Maker, a new 2D Metroid Switch game and details about the upcoming Mario Movie.
I wonder how long before they announce the remake of Wonderful 101.
