EVO 2019 took place over the weekend and it was certainly a spectacular event. News has arrived this morning via Twitter that the Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament smashed a EVO record. The Nintendo Switch exclusive set the highest peak viewership in EVO history with an incredible 279,000. That’s great news for everyone including Nintendo.

I was watching and I couldn’t believe it was at like 220,000 viewers. Was trying to remember what DBZ was last because I knew it broke the record last year. Good on Smash for accomplishing these and it really was a good top 8. Good EVO overall for what I could watch !
