UK charts: Fire Emblem Three Houses remains at No.1

A reduction in pricing for FIFA 19 – which is soon be replaced by FIFA 20, couldn’t stop Nintendo and Intelligent System’s Fire Emblem: Three Houses from remaining at number one for a second week in a row in the United Kingdom. Sales of the game dropped 60% in the second week of sales, but the game has broken the Fire Emblem franchise record here in the UK.

Here is the UKIE/GfK Top Ten for the week ending 3rd August:

Last Week This Week Title
1 1 Fire Emblem: Three Houses
5 2 FIFA 19
3 3 Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
4 4 Super Mario Maker 2
New Entry 5 Madden NFL 20
7 6 Grand Theft Auto V
8 7 Mario Kart 8: Deluxe
2 8 Wolfenstein:Youngblood
12 9 Super Smash Bros Ultimate
11 10 Minecraft

    1. I mean Madden has been sold in the UK since forever (I used to have it on the Mega Drive – or Genesis as it’s known in the US). American football is also definitely growing a lot in the UK, I know loads of people now who are super into it. I’m not sure why, it’s possibly my least favourite sport of all to watch, but to each their own.

  1. Hey, you had a bit of a typo – it says Youngbloo :D

Also – Fire Emblem deserves all the praise it can get. It’s a great game – just finished the Rebellion route, gonna move on onto the Golden Deer route and saving best for last – the Blue Lions :)

      1. Damn, I’m excited for the Blue Lions…
Up until now I didn’t get any explanation as to why Dimitri is like he is.
Also I really came to like Rhea and you actually get to know the reasons why Edelgard acted like she did. It’s really amazing how well written this game is in comparison to Fates.

          1. Fates was a complete disappointment storywise. I quite enjoyed conquest though (mapwise) – the only game I like less than Fates is Shadow Dragon.

              1. I was extremely worried that Three Houses would just be the next Fates with the assumptions I was making. With the school setting I was already accepting this game to be another dating sim with some strategy elements.
I’m very happy to have been wrong about all of that.
