FCC filing: SNES controller appears to be coming to Nintendo Switch

It seems we are one step closer to Super Nintendo games on the Nintendo Switch as a recent FCC filing shows that the company is planning a SNES controller which can slide onto your Joy-Con slots on the side of your Switch unit. As we all know the NES games have been running a little dry, so it is high time Nintendo announced when SNES games will arrive for Nintendo Switch Online members.

    1. Not sure about that yet. Theoretically, there’s a possibility that they will only be compatible with SNES games, but I’m hoping they will just be compatible with all games.

      1. The NES controllers work with all games, Nintendo only just label them as just for Seitch Online NES do people wouldn’t complain certian games don’t try to remap around the controller. =b the core files for these controllers have actually been in the switches firmware just as long as the NES controllers have. I knew they where just waiting a year to release them. Yah i would have prefer them to have done SNES earlier, but hey, at least waiting a year is better than not getting them at all.

  1. So snes will finally be approaching for the online anniversay than I guess what this this means is will get a good amount of good games we actually played and know and than they fill it up with any game they want to put it in the service kinda stupid that snes games were found in nes datamine like early this year and that nintendo remove them all together, wwish there were a bit more open to their fans

  2. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

You know what that means… SNES App for the Switch incoming.
