Amazon has revealed that the forthcoming Pokemon Sword & Shield games will get a physical starter guide via Prima. As with previous strategy guides this one will be a must for Pokemon fans and is sure to be lavish and thorough. It will be released alongside the game and is available to pre-order for $24.99. Here’s the details from the listing:
“The official strategy guide from Pokémon for the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games.
Get the tips you need for each part of your journey with the step-by-step walkthrough and hints in Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield: The Official Galar Region Strategy Guide. From your first experiences as a Trainer and all through your adventure, this guide will help you every step of the way!
Along the path, you’ll encounter different Gym Leaders to defeat, a vast Wild Area full of a variety of Pokémon, and mysteries of legendary proportions. But you’ll be ready for it all with this guide!”
I’ll just use bulbapedia
Serebii for me
Psh. Unless this sucker has some damn good artwork you can’t find anywhere else, you may as well just use GameFaqs, Serebii, or Bulbapedia. Hell! Even YouTube!
You know what would be cool? A Book on all Pokémon in the game, where to catch/find them, all learnable moves and breedable moves along with some stats
So the pokedex except not useless? I’ve been wanting pokedex to show egg groups, moves they can learn, what abilities they can have, steps to hatch, catch rate, etc. Basically everything about the pokemon should be available in game through the pokedex.
More proof just how out-of-touch the makers of Pokemon are with reality.
I pretty much always buy the strategy guides for new Pokemon games. It’s part of the fun for me, and I prefer having things in print.
Same for me. Every game released I always get the guides too. But I hate that I have to wait a week after the game to get the books…
