Activision: New $5 kart for Crash Team Racing with proceeds going towards war veterans

The Call of Duty Endowment fund has recently announced on Twitter that they releasing the first aeroplane styled kart for Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled. This special kart is available for $5 in the US and UK and all proceeds will go straight to “funding non-profits that place veterans in the US and UK into high quality civilian jobs.” The item will remain available on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store and Nintendo Switch eShop until they have raised a million dollars. Here’s more information about the Call of Duty Endowment:

The Call of Duty Endowment has placed over 60,000 veterans into well-paying jobs earlier than anticipated and hopes to reach its goal of putting 100,000 veterans back to work by 2024.

All Activision proceeds from the Firehawk Kart will be directly donated to funding nonprofits that place United States and United Kingdom veterans into high-quality jobs.

With this limited time offer comes a community goal: we’re hoping to raise $1 million to help the men and women that have served in the military, transition to civilian life.

So, join us in lighting up the track with the Firehawk and help support this great cause!

    1. As long as the proceeds truly DO go to a veterans’ organization, that justifies the purchase- microtransaction it may be- in my opinion. I made the same conclusion buying a salute taunt in Brawlhalla where proceeds went to a similar organization, and I believe they brought the taunt back for hurricane relief funding.

I just wish it could be proven that the funds went to any aforementioned organizations.

    1. >can’t spell ‘cue’ properly

About as much as I would’ve expected from the kind of person who unironically uses the term ‘sjw.’

      1. It wasn’t even a case of misspelling a word, but using a different word with a similar meaning. (Which in this case technically isn’t incorrect. As whats being cued is the queue of sjws to attack something supporting veterans)

      2. Furthermore, while being so focused on attacking others’ penmanship, you forgot to capitalize your sentence and end it with a full stop.

Ironic. He could save others from poor penmanship, but not himself.

      3. Just imagine if this was a cop car being added in. They’d definitely flip their shit. I can only imagine what ResetEra thinks of this. They are already attacking Super Smash Bros for being racist because it’s not “diverse” enough. Idiots…

      4. Does “directly donated” mean that 100% of the revenue from that sale will go to non-profit purposes? Or does this mean they will only donate 1 mill and if they earn more they’ll keep the rest?

        1. This reminds me of when Castle Crashers released the Pink Knight and all proceeds went to Breast Cancer research. I love when developers do this and I’ll always support them when they do! I don’t have the game yet, but I’ll probably just buy this anyways!
