GameSpot recently chatted to CD Projekt Red’s John Mamais, who is the head of the company’s Krakow office. After the company pulled off the near impossible getting The Witcher 3 up, running, playable, and ready for release on the Nintendo Switch system, many are wondering whether the company would be able to do the same with the extremely ambitious Cyberpunk 2077. Mr. Mamais says that if they decide to put the game on the Nintendo Switch they will test to see if they can get it up and running. However, he concedes that the likelihood of it being playable is highly unlikely.
On A Possible Switch Port Of Cyberpunk 2077
Who would have thought a game like The Witcher 3 would be possible on Switch, so who knows? I guess we’ll see, if we `decide to put it on the Switch, if we can do it. Probably not.
Maybe with a Switch pro.
Yes. And maybe they’ll bring over res 2 remake and red dead.
I will die happily if RE2 gets ported to Switch.
my 1st thought. They won’t really do a new console for a long time, instead they’re gonna make little steps like they did with the DS or 3DS. And when they do, they probably need some famous stuff to show off the possibilities.
Maybe not in the current Switch version.
It’s possible but it will look low quality on the graphic side of things like how the Witcher 3 is on the Switch. They can pull it off, just comes with some… low quality perks.
Witcher 3 looks perfectly fine to me. So they can just go for it then.
Problem is just, that Cyberpunk is aiming a different generation and might even be very downgraded on a PS4 so I don#t think it would even be running on low settings on a Switch.
I’d say just wait for a Stronger Switch model which is said to come out in 2020, which could possibly be PS4 Pro levels of performance (But I doubt it’ll be one to one with the PS4 Pro, just close enough)
PS4-level at best. and I hardly doubt it’s come out in 2020
Well, good thing I also have a PS4 for games like this, as well as my PC (once I have the budget to upgrade, that is).
me too, but I found myself playing less on the PS4 as it always forces me in front of the TV. for me that’s a big deal and I can lve with the visual cut they made for Witcher 3 as long as I can play it on my little Switch screen.
In some cases it feels way better to play on the TV, but in the case of the Switch, I then can just chose to play it there.
some games like Outer Worlds are way more attractive to play on the Switch as I really don’t feel like spending 200+ hours in front of my TV.
