Nintendo has announced it has sold an extremely decent 41.67 million Nintendo Switch systems in total worldwide. The company reached this milestone as of 30th September 2019. Nintendo had expected to sell 18 million in the current fiscal year and still has to shift another 11.07 million units to achieve this target. We shall have to wait and see whether they can achieve this on the back of Pokemon Sword & Shield. Here’s an updated hardware sales list for Nintendo products:
Nintendo Switch
- Hardware: 41.67 million units (+4.8 million from previous quarter)
- Software: 246.01 million units (+35.88)
Nintendo 3DS
- Hardware: 75.45 million units (+0.17)
- Software: 378.12 million units (+2.6)
Wii U
- Hardware: 13.56 million units (-)
- Software: 102.85 million units (+0.11)
Man for Mario Kart 9 for the Switch to be announced, I won’t be getting a Switch myself until it’s assured that the Switch Port of Mario Kart 8 was not chosen instead of it.
You may be waiting a while. Their mobile app was their focus over the last 3 years, and there’s still DLC for MK8:DX coming
What DLC BS are you referring to? It has been 3 years since the last DLC we got for MK8 Deluxe.
There won’t be a MK9 on Switch as much as we want it. No reason to release it when the one we have is moving Switch consoles like crazy.
If MK9 happens to come on Switch it will probably be on an updated version in 2021 or later.
Does the Nintendo Switch number sales include only the normal Nintendo Switch or with the Lite version?

i truly believe the switch would have sold much more if Nintendo had supported the Wii U at the same time as the switch. Furthermore a switch at £279 compare to a PS4 at £249 (I believe it the same price range for other markets) it does not a genius to understand why the switch has not reach 50M + yet.

It was refusing to end the 3DS why the Switch didn’t explode from the onset and do peak DS numbers. Now that they’re finally admitting the 3DS only saw a short-lived bump thanks to Pokemon, and putting those franchises on Switch, you should in the coming years it do close to 15 million consistently before it drops off.
