Today is the day when The Game Awards 2019 nominees have been revealed and it’s an interesting list. There’s a lot of Death Stranding nominations and a distinct lack of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Anyway, here’s the nominees for each individual categories and the results will be published on the 12th December which is when the award ceremony takes place. Vote here.

I’m surprised DMC V or Fire Emblem didn’t make the cut for GOTY but Control and Death Stranding did. With the noms we do have, I’m hoping Smash winning GOTY.

Nah, I doubt Death Stranding will win given how divisive that game is. Control, from what I’ve heard, is pretty good but nothing special so I don’t think it’ll win either.
It would be great to have a Smash Bros. game win game of the year, but I doubt it’ll top Sekiro, Outer Worlds, and the Resident Evil 2 remake especially with how much praise all 3 of those games got.
Kojima kept making Geoff favors, trust me, DA is winning GOTY and most of those categories.

There is no need to say that Death Stranding or Control are win most of the nominees. People love both of those games and even if one of those two games win what will change? Nothing. Life keeps going.
Anyway I can’t guarantee 100% that the 5th DLC fighter will be announced at the Game Awards but tweets and rumors seems to point on this event.

With the smash roster confirmed to grow even more, there’s just no way that they can’t possibly get away with not bringing in some more first party characters. Waluigi is a good shout.

The games nominated are very popular games. Unfortunately Smash is suffering for being a 2018 game, which most people are complaining about.

Anyone who thinks Death Stranding isn’t taking most of these awards is delusional. Geoff has been sneak peeking this game since 2016, he’s been hyping it up ever since, and he’s riding Kojima pretty hard. Death Stranding WILL be taking most of the awards it was nominated in. There’s a bias here, and it’s it’s pretty obvious.
I mean… Looks like it got a nomination in every category possible. I’m surprised they didn’t nominate it for best Family game too just because you take care of that baby in the game.

Yeah, called this myself a long time ago, but it’s so obvious anyone could see it. I’m not against that other games than my preference wins, but if Death Stranding wins I’ll be quite resigned.
I personally think that DA is going to win most of the nominees. I cannot say much about this game since I didn’t saw any gameplay video and also I don’t understand the plot of this game.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m still sticking to my opinion of Death Stranding not winning Game of the Year. Maybe other categories, but I just don’t see a highly praised game like Sekiro losing Game of the Year to Death Stranding.

In everyone else’s normal world, where goty nominees are actual games released that year. My pick on that list would have to go to Resident Evil 2, but that’s only because Smash is a 2018 game.
My actual favorite game this year is Fire Emblem, but that series will never be mainstream enough to be nominated in a show like this.

Somewhat. People from blogs sites and websites cast votes for each category. I know Greg from Kinda Funny has been a judge in them a few times.
