Some more Spirits are coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and they’re not what you may be expecting. Starting November 29th and lasting for 5 days, Resident Evil spirits will appear on the game’s Spirit Board. The spirits are Chris, Leon, Wesker and Jill. Soon, players will be able to “conquer the looming fear”. The official Nintendo Versus tweet is down below, so feel free to check it out.

I’m surprised there’s no res character for smash yet.
Too violent character I suppose with the main defence being a large knife and guns.
After Bayonetta (sex appeal galore) & Snake (guns for days), both of which come from violent games, I don’t see why a Resident Evil character would be excluded for being “too violent.”
…Resident Evil was one of the four series I wanted to see a Smash character made from, so this is kind of a bummer. At least they’re in the game in some form.
Me too. Especially when RE4 the definitive version was in Wii. I thought by Brawl Release Leon would had been in there.

Dante isn’t the 5th DLC character in the fighter pass. Still now it’s unclear who is the character
I’m betting Capcom, since they’ve had Rathalos, Mega Man, Ryu and Ken in Smash with no DLCs as extra revenue. Square with Cloud got Hero DLC and Sega with Sonic and Bayonetta got Joker as DLC. Namco’s making the game so they get their share that way.
Getting RE spirits before a RE character is too brave in my opinion, but they’re teasing something Capcom I can feel it. Monster Hunter and RE had some stupid crossovers the last couples of weeks. If Capcoms gets anyting in Smash it will just get people hooked on all things Capcom with their crossover strategy.
I understand your opinion but rumours seems to point or a Tekjen character or a Tales of series character.
Personally I’m hoping to see Crono but it seems that the character has been already know from insiders and it’s not Dante or Crono.
Crono would be ace! Best RPG in history, but we already got Hero. Toriyama character and all.
Phoenix Wright would be the most awesome thing Capcom could come with if it’s them.
Tekken? Well, it is Namco, and we got Terry and SF there, so it makes sense, but those rumours could just be capitalizing on Terry fighting game appeal.
Crash could be it as well.
I hope it’s Crash the 5th DLC character but it seems it’s not even him…

Resident Evil should had Been on Smash Brothers since Brawl. They even have their own recovery and weapons. RESIDENT EVIL characters can do kicks, punches grabs and shoot with a gun or throw bombs. I swear game devlopers dont like making money.
Why isnt Unisoft wanting to have their characters on Smash when they already have Mario-Rabbids. The 1st best selling game on the Switch and still no sequel on the back burner. They must hate making money. Raymond Legends 2 could had made money and putting Rayman on Smash would had made even more revenue for Ubisoft. And ever considered Trine?
Guys, how many current characters is on Brawl now? It feel like it is 90 something. I wish they could bring that 2D DK stage back from Smash Wii U. I also wish “Palm Tree Groove” music would be on Smash. That’s a nice Jazz Somh as well as songs from Tropical Freeze Jazz music. The main theme song is cool but why I need 10 DK sound tracks of the same song with remixes? I wonder why Dr. Mario doent have his own stage yet? I would love to fight in a jar with virus and falling pills.
Why we cant get some Mortal Kombat characters? Too violent ? Take the blood out.
