A number of influencers have started to randomly receive Crash Bandicoot themed items from Activision prompting many to believe a new announcement is imminent. The company is known to send things out before an announcement to drum up hype. We have got the The Game Awards and Sony’s State of Play events happening next week so we could see something new revealed in the Crash franchise. Fingers crossed!
If they do I hope it plays nothing like the originals, I think they’re awfully designed.

I agree with you.
I liked it when I was a kid, but the combination of a horrible camera, sloppy physics, and shoddy level design makes for some very unenjoyable games.
They haven’t aged gracefully whatsoever.
