Did You Know Gaming? has covered a wide variety of Nintendo’s library of games. Every now and then, the team also examines Sonic games. For example, a new video from the team was released this weekend. In the video, the Did You Know Gaming? team “takes a look at some facts, secrets and Easter eggs surrounding Mistakes in Sonic the Hedgehog games”. The video can be seen down below.
They’re just shitty sonic haters, of course they’d choose to make a video to be toxic over it. What garbage. Throw them out already.

It’s amazing how people still defend Sonic as a franchise even though 80% of their games are complete and utter trash and bugfests, I’d want if I were a fan some other company or fans (Sonic mania was a fangame at first) to make the games.
The other 20% though? Rather alright platformers.
I don’t every Sonic game is bad. Sonic 06 is bad indeed but look at Sonic Mania. I still see Sonic as a strong franchise.

Sonic Mania alongside the first Sonic games were amazing games.
Since 2000 though, I haven’t played a single decent Sonic game – While yes, some aren’t platformers, they are still without a doubt sonic games.
What I currently own are:
Shadow the Hedgehog
Sonic Rivals 1&2
Sonic and the Secret rings
Sonic Adventure Rush
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic and the Black Knight
Sonic Colours
Sonic Generations ( was also pretty good)
Both of the Sonic Boom games
and Sonic Mania + Forces
You can’t tell me that not only 3 of those are good.
You treat Sonic 06 as the game that defines other sonic games. It was the only trash and bug riddled sonic game, there’s only a select few that are actually bad and most are mediocre.

Did you forget about Sonic Boom, Forces, Shadow the Hedgehog, the port of Sonic 1 on GBA, and probably the many more that I’m forgetting? At this point there have been more bad and/or buggy games than ones that are considered good.
Heck, the original Genesis games are questionable with how well they’ve aged. Having to memorize routes so that you don’t run into enemies/spikes that come out of nowhere isn’t what I’d call good game design. Sonic controls like ass from a complete stop so you’re forced to play those games like that.
They could make a hour video on sonic 06 alone….
First of All buddy you dont know shit about me and what kinda sonic games Ive played.
Second of all I played 13 sonic games in total and finished 3 of those because the other 10 were trash. I didnt even touch Sonic 06.
Last but not least, if your best game in 15 years was a fanmade game you know that the company has no fucking idea what to do with their IP and should include other studios or even fans to help with their games.

I still think sonic adventure 1 and 2, despite their age and glitches, are very fun to play still in this day and age. Great music, fun level gimmicks and set pieces, iirc impressive graphics (well, for the time at least XD nowadays…yeah no) and I love the controls compared to the boost games because the adventure titles actually let you move around properly, and don’t feel like sonic’s controls are built solely to go down single file corridors only.
Though that’s just my opinion to the games, and I’m guessing you think differently?
I didn’t play Adventure or it’s sequel but I heard that adventure two despite some flaws is supposed to be enjoyable.
Unpopular opinion but the best Sonic games I’ve played have been Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Shadow the Hedgehog, & Sonic Forces. (Shadow & Forces being the unpopular part of my opinion, obv.) I never noticed any bugs with the first 2 & Forces probably had all of theirs removed through patches by the time I finally played the game.
Anyway, looking at the mistakes in a Sonic game is a sore spot for the fandom since many of them believe most Sonic games have been utter garbo so the franchise is made up of a series of mistakes. And it’s totally their right to believe that, too.
