  1. I’m sorry for being that guy but I don’t like the look of this.
I mean, this long after the last ND, only to get… a MINI edition?
    I expected better.
Nintendo, of all companies, does know that first impression matters. So they decided to introduce what’s new for the Switch in 2020 in a ND ***MINI*** edition.
Nah I just don’t like the look of this at all.

Oh well, let’s just hope they make the best out of it.

    1. I mean, it’s still a solid 25 minutes of stuff, and we’re close to their not-E3-but-kind-of-E3 Direct.

      Seems reasonable to me.

      1. Hold up wait a minute let me put some Grunty in it!!!!!!

First of all I was being sarcastic.
Second what you complaining about. I should be the only one complaining about sequels to any game. Yall all satisfied waiting 8 years for sequels. Then when a direct comes you want to complain for lack of a game you wanted to see. Welcome to reality I been waiting almost 5 years for Pikmin 4!!!

30 minutes is too short for a direct? Remember what the beginning of the direct was written? Covid-19 is making everything complicated.

The only 2 things I didn’t like were the AC and Pokemon info when both games had their own direct.

      1. Animal crossing was literally a min long, and it only showed what to expect from the new update, its going to show up in the directs just like the splatoon 2 updates were shown off.

        1. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

Yeah but personally if you have dedicated a full direct on a series then you can save up future updates in later updates. Look at Mario Maker 2. We didn’t get any updates for months. Plus Mario Maker 2 was shown in a single direct and we don’t know which extra style we are gonna get.

          1. But the difference is Splatoon and Animal crossing are made by the same devs so it makes sense to be shown off anyways, I forgot which nintedo employee mention this but nintedo game announcemnts are base off of what’s ready for the year, and what’s almost done keep in mind their are no wasted slots in the direct, also I’m sure will be getting a steep mario maker update soon

            1. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

Still is too soon for an update. The game was just released last week and they already talking about updates. I think it was too soon but at the end of the day we saw a Nintendo Direct… Mini… . Do you know what does it mean?

They literally said that we saw a small direct. We didn’t see the storm coming yet.

      2. How does Covid-19 cause sequels to be delayed when they make games inside a building with a few people around? If that’s the case before the virus why is it it still took forever for a sequel to debut?

        1. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

          I can give 2 answers.

          1) We saw Direct mini. Which means we didn’t saw the true big stuff.

          2) The coronavirus can be diffuse even if few people works inside the company. That’s why there is Smart working but the problem is everyone is adopting it and connections are going from good to bad. It’s hard to make a good connection that’s why big colosal like Netflix, Amazon etc decided to reduce the quality of the streams, and maybe even for online videos.

So that’s why I think covid-19 is making the life of everyone difficult.

      3. Ok.. next question Convid -19 started December 2019. Miyomoto said Pikmin 4 was nearly completion in August 2015 why isnt it out yet when the virus started in 2019?

      4. You say it is still catchy even if a few people work on future games in the studio? Then why dont they get their employees to wear mask so they can immediately work on sequels? To me that’s an Excuse. What’s the reason fr Luigi ‘s Mansion 2 and Luigi’s Mansion 3 to be some many years apart then? How much you wanna bet Luigi Mansion 4 will debut in 2029?

    3. +RoD
Can I just point out that in 2018, we started with a mini-direct in January and a normal direct in March?
This year, we got a mini-direct in March after 2 game-focused directs! I’d say so far this year has been about the same and 2018 still managed to be good so maybe back off and give them a chance?
Also keep in mind in 2018 they didn’t have a pandemic to deal with.

    4. So guessing you skip over the part of the main reason why theirs no general direct, they even said the updates and release dates may change, just a heads up but were literally in a epidemic, and the world doesn’t revolve around video games, not trying to be rude here.

  2. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

    Twintelle 4 Smash

  3. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

At least we got plenty of games announced so I’m not mad.

  4. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

If Springman is going to be a fully playable character in Smash then you can’t stop me for asking Bandana Dee.

      1. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

There is no problem. Shantae is in my top 10 characters I want in Smash.

  5. I’m not normally one to moan but this was pretty disappointing. There was of course a lot of great stuff but most of it was release dates or updates of games that have been announced for a long time or which are already out. I expected at least one reasonably big 1st or 2nd party game from Nintendo that was a new announcement and there wasn’t anything. Makes you wonder what their main teams have been doing. Seems like they are leaning on third parties more than ever which is quite strange. As it had been so long since the last set of big announcements I thought when they did show what they had it would be quite spectacular but this was just ok. Don’t want to be overly negative though and there was plenty here that I will definitely be playing.

    1. Sorry, none of those. I’m sure that they are saving all the good stuff for their E3 But Not E3 Direct.

And they’d better have Pikmin Trilogy HD and Super Mario 3D World Deluxe!

      1. Bullshit that’s what people said last year and the year before that and the year before that and the year before that. Let’s face the facts Olimar is dead! Only time he is going to be used is Smash brothers

      2. I don’t see why old 3D Mario world couldn’t had been unveiled now. Now if it was a 3D Mario world 2 then yes that undetectable. But we know 3D Mario World 2 is in heaven with Pikmin4 and Luigi’s Mansion 4 and Star fox.

  6. Ashes to Ashes dust to dust so sad as we bury these sequels into the earth’s crust:
R.I.P Olimar, Louie, Alph and Britney, Donkey Kong, King K. ROOL, Fox, Slippy, Toad,Treaser Tracker 2, Rayman Legends 2, Mario Rabbids 2, Luigi’s Mansion 4, Metriod Prime 4. Let’s get the funeral ready and have their graves buried next to Banjo and Kazooie since neither Nintendo or Rare is working on these games.

I’ll just have to fork over $699 with the series X and play reruns of Banjo-Kazooie that way.
I’m not investing in another Nintendo console until I see a game on a Nintendo direct I actually want. I thought I was going to see sequels to Mario-Rabbids2 Pikmin4 , Bayonetta 3, Metroid 4 LM4, Yoshi would yarn 3, or BOW2

Bravely Default 2 was the only Sequel worth a damn.

    51 Games was cool.

  7. So long Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong R.I.P y’all no more new adventures.

Star Fox I’m going to miss protecting the Treaty of from starwolf. Rest in heaven Falco my favorite of the star fox team.

So long y’all. So long flying Pikmin and Purple Pikmin and red and blue and yellow Pikmin. Y’all Pikmin will never see another rocket ship landing on y’alls planet and helping that captain find treasure, food or repair his ship to get back home.

    So long Toad.

Mario and the Rabbids say Fairwell y’all will never be together in a game anymore

IT is so said sequels are dead.

R.I.p Samus. I already know this game will be her last sequel judging by how many years apart it was from the Wii to the Switch. So long Metroid. Metro is prime 4 will be her last game. Good luck Ridley and Samus y’all last battle.

  8. I have a feeling Bayonetta 3 will be her last game. So long king Boo and Luigi yall last game. So long yall great sequels as we say goodbye to all these franchise never returnimg back with sequels. Olimar I’m going to miss you buddy but we can always go back to Pikmin 1, 2 and 3. Louie take care of yourself.

  9. If the next fighter is Springman, he will prove once and for all that just because you’re an assist trophy, doesn’t mean you can’t be playable in Smash. But who knows? Maybe Springman was a decoy protagonist and it’s actually Ribbon Girl. Not only is she on the cover, but she was in ARMs’ announcement trailer. Besides, Smash can always use more females. Whoever it is, this could be the first time an IP gets it’s first rep in Smash on the same system it debuted in.

  10. I wonder if we should say goodbye to Arms 2? I’ll prepare the funeral. More than likely they arent working on it and will be 8 years before it is announced maybe longer just like alllllllll the other Sequels.

It’s fascinating how Frozenbyte and Playton arent as rich as Nintendo and Ubisoft and they work on Sequels. I already know Trine 5 and Ukelele 3 are already in R&D. They dont wait 8 years to make a game.

  11. Now it makes sense why there isnt a Switch pro. If nintendo is going to bring more portals than Sequels then why waste money on a pro if majority of the games are coming from Wii and Wii U?
