Forever Entertainment says Panzer Dragoon Remake sales have exceeded their expectations

The recently released Panzer Dragoon: Remake didn’t have the smoothest launch as players reported that there were some fixable issues with the action title. However, during Forever Entertainment’s Q1 financial report the CEO said that the launch of the game has exceeded all the team’s expectations. Panzer Dragoon: Remake is available right now on the Nintendo Switch eShop and a large patch is expected soon.

    1. Whats wrong with it? Other than the fact that its panzer dragoon 1 and not 2(which was always a way better game)

  1. A lot of what’s wrong with Panzer Dragoon is going to be fixed with the upcoming patch. Bearing in mind it’s been a month since the release, the game did not come out in a great state. It has no new modes, or even unlockable artwork to give the game some more meat for the price. The graphics are kinda serviceable but the cutscenes are incredibly crusty. The gameplay is still good, but it will be better with the patch.
But after playing the OG Panzer Dragoon II in emulation, it somehow plays and feels better than this remake. So I hope with how well the game’s doing, they just put a little more work in the sequel.

The original game is $60-70. They probably never needed to do much in the way of new features to make this a popular option. Plenty of people don’t enjoy emulation.
