Kirby is censored in Xbox/PS4 Fortnite trailer

Love it or hate it, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Fortnite as of late. Epic Games has been heavily advertising the new, more laid back event called ‘Party Royale’ where players can kick back and relax (and watch some short performances by famous DJ’s, in this instance). Nintendo’s loveable character Kirby makes a brief appearance at the beginning in one of the trailers on an in-game screen which you can view here. However, thanks to Go Nintendo, you can see that poor Kirby has been censored in the Xbox and PS4 versions of the same trailer below:

  1. I’m not into marketing or anything but that doesn’t sound like a good way to be advertise your video game characters Nintendo, if anything it pushes away potential buyers.

    1. I doubt anyone is going to refuse to buy a Nintendo product because there’s a blurred out Kirby in Fortnite, that they probably wouldn’t even notice bin the first place

    2. Yes, that’s why Nintendo’s versions of trailers show Playstation cross content in them when ever they occur 😑 seriously, this happens all the time.

  2. 𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒐 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝑶𝒓𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓

Kirby what are you doing in Fortnite?

  3. Before some idiots in the comment section blame Nintendo for this (as always). They obviously got the permission from Nintendo to do this, or else Kirby wouldn’t be in there in the first place. Assuming that Kirby doesn’t show up on other platforms it only makes sense to censor him as it would be false advertising. (And if he indeed does show up on other platforms that again means Nintendo said OK to that).
