Minecraft Dungeons ‘Jungle Awakens’ DLC coming in July, Dev working on cross-platform play

It’s been announced that the newly released Minecraft Dungeons on Nintendo Switch and other platforms is getting some DLC in July and it’s called Jungle Awakens. Extra weapons, three new missions and more will be included. The news surfaced from a blog post over on Minecraft’s official website and what’s also worth noting is that the developer is working on enabling cross-platform play too. As well as the Jungle Awakens DLC, players can expect more downloadable content later this year with the release of Creeping Winter. The dev will be releasing more info about that DLC pack at another time.

Check out some the announcement below or you can read it in its entirety here:

Once you’ve had enough of the jungle heat, you’ll explore some frozen peaks in Creeping Winter! This second addition to Minecraft Dungeons will be coming later this year, so keep an eye on this blog and our socials for future sneak peeks!

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling really good about getting the Hero Edition right now – and it’s not just because of the baby chicken that comes with it. Have you seen how cute it is though?

Did you think that was it? Far from it! ! The team is also working on adding cross-platform play functionality and cool new free content for Minecraft Dungeons that everyone will receive, regardless of edition! We’ll come back with more details in the coming weeks. In the meantime, equip your favorite weapon and show that Arch-Illager who’s boss! Get it? I’ll see myself out.

    1. Well, at least it’s not day 1 DLC. Personally, I appreciate the fact that they plan to keep adding to the game.
