Monolith Soft celebrates Xenoblade series 10th anniversary with new art

Monolith Soft, the developers behind the acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles series, is celebrating the franchise’s 10th anniversary today. The team took to Twitter to share a fabulous new piece of artwork which shows Elma front and centre and joined either side by Rex and Shulk. The recently released Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is available right now on the Nintendo Switch.

    1. That’s Elma. She’s the most popular character from even though she’s not the protagonist (the protagonist is just an avatar character btw). Honestly I’m not sure why she became the fan favorite since I never played the game, but there you go. I have no idea what’s on the bottom left corner; if I had to guess I’d say it’s a spaceship from X

        1. X port would be nice. I dunno about canon, but Shulk, Fiora, and Elma did appear in DLC for Xenoblade 2

    2. Lower left is the White Whale, the ship that brought New LA to Mira in Xenoblade Chronicles X. You can see the dome of New LA on it.

  1. I like how they made this about the least popular game. It gives them something to talk about.

  3. Elma is central to the story of X. While ‘you’ are the protagonist of the game, she’s pretty much the protagonist of the story.

    Also yes her class wields dual swords and dual machine guns.
