XSEED Games has confirmed to Gematsu that the charming Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town for the Nintendo Switch platform has sold over 100,000 copies in North America. The farming sim performed best sales-wise on the hybrid platform. The site also reports that the previous record was held by Story of Seasons for the Nintendo 3DS. Rune Factory 4 Special for the Switch also achieved sales of over 100,000 in North America back in July 2020.
I still need to get Rune Factory 4, both on the 3DS and Switch. I also need to get the other Rune Factory games. That and 100,000 isn’t bad considering this is a niche title.
Well made games will always sell better on Nintendo consoles. Capcom, squareenix, Bandai namco, Konami etc should remember who Nintendo is and their relationship from the 1980s.
F=MA.
@Sickr i think u meant Rune Factory back in Feb 2020 :D
