Japan: Nintendo is hosting an online career briefing session next month

Nintendo is holding an online career briefing next month and it’s aimed at experienced designers in the gaming industry. Developers who have worked on the Splatoon and Zelda series will talk to prospective employees on 24th October with the aim for some vacancies to be filled and for successfully selected individuals to work from either Kyoto or Tokyo. The vacancies that are available are as follows:

●3D CG Designer Terrain <Kyoto/Tokyo>
●3D CG Designer Character Designer <Kyoto/Tokyo>
●3D CG Designer Character Animation <Kyoto/Tokyo>
●UI/UX Designer <Kyoto/Tokyo>
●Effect Designer <Kyoto > /Tokyo〉

With only 160 places available – and I’d imagine they will fill up very quickly – Nintendo is employing a lottery system for potential candidates. The presentation will be split up into three different sections: (company history, department characteristics, and occupation explanation with Q&A)

  1. No Gameplay Programmers…

      1. Yeah I know but sometimes I want to know Nintendo programmers what they do and which tools they use for development.

  2. I’ve been working on a Splatoon Spin-off/Single player game for about a week. I have no way to suggest this to Nintendo because they don’t accept game ideas.I have no intention of going into game development so now I’m just developing my dream game knowing it will probably never happen.
