Pikmin 3 Deluxe demo to be released this evening

During today’s Treehouse Live stream for the upcoming Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Nintendo has confirmed that a playable demo will be released this evening for the game on the Switch eShop. This will give those who have already played the game on the Wii U a chance to see how it runs on Switch and try out the new control schemes. There are also a number of perks to playing the demo as the saves transfer over to the retail release and if you manage to finish the demo you can access the new Ultra-Spicy difficulty mode in the full game. The company says other perks will also be unlocked.

    1. Two-player co-op is the biggest addition, but it looks like they’ve also improved the control scheme, added a hint system, put in side stories featuring Olimar and Louie, added difficulty levels, and generally cleaned some things up. I’ve already preordered it on Switch even though I beat the game previously on Wii U. Besides being a great game that I want to replay, I’m also hoping that good sales will encourage them to release Pikmin 4 in less than a decade.

  1. Dang the last wii u port on the switch that got a demo was captain toad, I feel like demos should be done a bit more often if you ask me, the 3ds had alot cool demos to access smash 4 has to be one of my fav demos on the 3ds.
