Nintendo has confirmed that there will be a fresh new update for the mighty Splatoon 2 and it will be arriving this Thursday. 1. Noone cares now that they announced Splatoon 3. They can stop printing copies now. Splatoon 2 is officially dead. Well done Nintendo. Who needs F-Zero or Advance Wars or Star Fox or Pikmin when you can have another Splatoon that kills off the player base of the previous one. Oh and remember Wario? He used to have his own set of great games. But whatever. Let’s make 10 Splatoon games before we even think about making one of the classics.

      1. While I do agree his a bit extreme here, I understand the point he’s trying to make. I do agree with it somewhat. I really really do miss the Wario Land-series, and wouldn’t say no to a new F-Zero

    1. Name me one title from any of those series that sold over a million copies or became a phenomenon like Splatoon. Star Fox and Pikmin released beside the first game in the series and got curbsided immediately. When will morons like you understand that you need to support a series for a company to support it back? Fire Emblem was on the brink of being thrown into the abyss by Nintendo until Awakening sold gang-busters and now FE is one of Nintendo’s main hitters. Put your money where your mouth is otherwise you’ll look as dumb as Metroid fans.

    2. As a marketing student, I can say that Nintendo will differentiate between 2 and 3 or else they will lose current sales. Nintendo is a business first and will make games that sell. More people need to support series’ like Wario Land in order for it to be revived. Like it or not, you’re in the minority. Just relax, not having a game tailor made to your wants isn’t going to hurt you.

    3. @bootyranger

I wish f zero gx was ported to Nintendo switch. I couldn’t beat story but I enjoyed 30 racers in ruby, sapphire and emerald cups.

    4. Even if Nintendo Splatoon 3, that doesn’t mean they are going to stop making copies of games that have already been release. So, I’m guessing you a long way to go about learning more when it comes to Nintendo games.

    5. Sorry i meant

Even if Nintendo reveal Splatoon 3, that doesn’t mean they are going to stop making copies of games that have already been release. So, I’m guessing you a long way to go about learning more when it comes to Nintendo games

      1. You can make the same argument for every sports game, including Splatoon. People play these games because it scratches an itch. There is no objective Splatoon > F-Zero. But there is an objective Splatoon: 2 – F-Zero: 0

  3. I don’t think that this update is necessary. I mean, what they should really be focusing on is that since Splatoon 3 won’t come out for another year, in the mean time we should have more splat fests to keep us occupied. Also we should have special Nighttime turf wars Not just during splat fests but starting at like 6pm and maybe even the day.
PS. splatoon 2 is not officially dead!!! Splatoon 3 is not until 2022!!! a game isn’t dead until barely anyone plays it!!!
