Rumour: Nvidia is apparently halting production of the Tegra X1 chipset that’s in Nintendo Switch consoles

According to gaming website Gamereactor, a source close to them who works at Nvidia has advised them that the multinational technology company is halting production of the Tegra X1 chipset that’s found in the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles. The source unfortunately didn’t go on to explain what Nvidia were shifting its focus to, but there could well be a possibility that it’s diverting the production efforts for a new chipset for the heavily rumoured ‘Switch Pro’ console.

As always, time will tell, but in the meantime, it was only a few days ago that an insider pointed towards information regarding ‘Switch Pro’ exclusive games. You can read more about that over here.

  1. Man, I’m so tired of all these Switch Pro Rumours, it’s like a second wave of the “NX Rumour” days.

    1. You think back when it was code named ๐Ÿ‘‰NX๐Ÿ‘ˆ and Nintendo knew how this would sell would they still had made the choices of features inside the Switch?

  2. Not planning on getting a new version even so its only a updated version of the Switch. So, I will continue stick with my original Nintendo Switch and not abandoned it. Sometimes, I really don’t like rumors popping up out of no where about the new pro but, we just have to wait and find out for our selves once it gets announced this year. Nintendo still making sure nothing else gets leak about the Switch pro system.
