  1. For me I’m def most looking forward to Zelda, but the more I keep watching Metroid dread, the more I’m so keen to get into this game. It looks fantastic and the whole new eerie addition of the robots gives it a whole new sense. I am a 2d platforming fan so this is right up my street. I hope it comes with a real tough mode and I hope it does really well.
The fact that some of the ideas of this game have been around for over a decade and now it’s coming to fruition is a good sign that the holding off was to release this game when it was ready to impress. I’m impressed!

    1. IKR who makes these decisions? Was it an online survey or was it a jury that just happened to be racing fanboys. There is no doubt that WAY more people are looking forward to BOTW 2 than a racing game, which is definitely a great game, but just not as popular. “Most anticipated” is about popularity after all.

  2. Anticipation = Knowing nothing for 2 years about a sequel to a game that changed everything you once knew about a long-running franchise’s 3D games.

  3. I know this page will he biased since it is a Nintendo website, but seriously. As others said, Xbox had games that showed no gameplay or even in engine video, Nintendo showed gameplay for every game shown. Xbox event was 85% shooters, Nintendo’s didn’t over saturate any genre. Xbox also just had way more pacing issues. Certain games went by way too fast while others went in for way too long. The only game that went a little long on Nintendo was SMT 5.

  4. Forza looks great, but I’m happy we’re getting Cruisn’ Blast. Not every racer has to be hyper realistic. It isn’t a kart racer but isn’t grand turismo. Hope it is a fun one with good multiplayer.

  5. I thought original breath of wild was a horrible Zelda game, it might have been an okay game if something else, but for a Zelda game it sucked, no good weapons, no kick ass music. I doubt part 2 will be any better.

    1. I get that it’s your opinion, but horrible?! The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the lack of dungeons.

      1. The best part of the Zelda games besides the dungeons was the non breakable weapons, getting them was such satisfaction. It wasn’t fun trying to find sticks and crap. I don’t like this trend. It’s not fun in animal crossing either, the breakable tools can make unbreakable furniture

        1. I felt the same way… The game was kinda toneless compared to the others. The evironment was meh ruins, grass, trees and the champions where forgettable… Excluding mipha. Age of calamity improved them somewhat. The lack of music was a bad decisions. And the “over world boss” themes forgettable as well… Its a good game but not a great zelda one

The memories where also a dumb idea…

          1. Finally!

These are all the things I’ve been saying!

            -No music score
-Temporarily weapons that become usable and force you to retreat (or die)
-Being forced to play a certain way. This isn’t the pre-Awakening Fire Emblem games.
            -No rupees
-No plot (other than those afterthought memories)
            -Haughty Zelda
-Cheap deaths because even the mooks mean serious business.
-Cheap deaths because you chose to wear certain available gear in certain locations
            -Etc.

Just because a Zelda game chooses to be non-linear, doesn’t mean you can have a narrative at certain points. Ex. You can tackle dungeons in any order you want, but have some setup for them to be important, or have clearing the first 3 or 4 set up the second half of the game and the climax. ALBW does this well, and that’s based heavily on ALTTP.

            1. I don’t think you’re entirely without a point, but some of your points are either vague, subjective, true lots of Zelda games, or just flat out untrue.

              Music, ok I agree.
Weapons, ok, I agree. I’m fine with breaking weapons to start, but the master sword? come on.
What does being forced to play a certain way mean? This is completely ambiguous. I can’t even imagine a way this is true that isn’t as true or more true of most Zelda games.
              But there were rupees…..

There was just as much plot as a typical Zelda game. You’re confusing plot for cutscenes. Most Zelda games have only 3 or 4 plot scenes in the whole game. They just also have cutscenes where characters repeat information you already know every time you beat a dungeon. “Thanks link, I’m a sage. You should totes go save the rest and beat ganon” is not additional plot. Its filler. That’s not a criticism of those games, its just not a valid complaint against this one. Your actual complaint seems to be that a lot of the plot is in flashbacks, which is fine for your feeling, but that’s subjective. It isn’t better or worse.

What do you mean by Haughty Zelda, and how is that an issue of quality?

I suspect you didn’t actually complete BOTW, because by the time you’re halfway through the game, even the toughest enemies in the game melt when you so much as get close to them. The enemy difficulty being too low is the bigger problem.

“-Cheap deaths because you chose to wear certain available gear in certain locations”

There is no Zelda game, and quite possibly no game in the entire genre, where you don’t have a chance at dying for having the wrong gear equipped. But what do you even mean exactly? BOTW is extremely fair with its armor based weaknesses.

“Just because a Zelda game chooses to be non-linear, doesn’t mean you can have a narrative at certain points.”

And it DID have a narrative at certain points. Game start, Meet the king, meet impa and get backstory, every and then every time you encounter one of the four dungeons, and then every time you clear one of the dungeons. Named characters, cutscenes, dialog, character development. Again, your actual complaint seems to be the heavy reliance on flashback in all of these, which is again, subjective.

  6. I just wish Nintendo would have dlc good weapons that don’t break, I’d pay good money for that, then I can experience the game and not get pissed off at the same time, I didn’t finish the game, I just couldn’t do it, I was so frustrated
