With development seemingly finished on the magnificent Super Smash Bros Ultimate, the official Japanese Smash Bros Twitter account has tweeted that from Friday, 19th November the company will be re-hosting previous Spirit and Tournament events. This will give those who missed out a chance to claim some of the previous Spirits and relive some of the past Tournaments. Sora, the final DLC character for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, is available right now on the Switch eShop.

From Friday, November 19, 2021, spirits events and tournament events will be re-held from some of the past events. We look forward to your continued participation.

  1. Spirits? more like PNG’s. Seriously, if somebody other than Sakurai takes the reigns i hope that person adds more content like a proper adventure mode and not that snooze fest glorified event match (world of light) and break the targets. For me smash ultimate is about its roster and it’s far away from being magnificent or a master piece, it is more like a licensing achievement due its roster, this is just my point of view.

        1. I have to agree with you, man. I don’t even think they’re as good as events considering they usually boil down to using the same spirit configuration each time. Only time I’ve ever had to switch my spirit was when the floor was lava and I was in too much hitstun to move

  2. One day later, I can now confirm that this is just a lie. The only “event” going on now are repeat spirits having to do with glasses (Spectacled Spirits).
