Dying Light 2 Cloud Version for Switch release date pushed back

Techland’s sequel to the excellent Dying Light, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, has been delayed for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Techland were bringing it to the Switch as a Cloud Version, which means that you are streaming the full priced game through your internet connection, much like Kingdom Hearts Collection for Switch. It was due to be released at the same time as the Xbox and PlayStation versions early next month, but the company has announced today that the release on Switch has been pushed back by a number of months. They ask Nintendo fans to remain patient while they get the Cloud Version up and running properly on the platform.

“In order to provide fans with the gaming experience at the level they deserve and that Techland wants to provide, Dying Light 2 Stay Human (Cloud Version)’s release date on Nintendo Switch will be moved. Techland is asking Nintendo fans around the world for their patience. Upon the game’s release, players will be able to experience Dying Light 2 Stay Human with flexible handheld gameplay at its best with Nintendo Switch, powered by Cloud Technology.”

    1. Better than selling 20% of a game at full price that’s littered with bugs and is basically an alpha build plus the rest of the game being locked behind multiple paywalls.

  1. I played dying light on the switch and I must admit it’s a lot of game and I really liked it, but I wish I played it on PS4, il def be playing this on Ps5. I suppose if people can’t afford 2 consoles and they really have to play this then maybe, but do yourself a favour and boycott it to start with and wait for it to be reduced.
Also you best have perfect internet as I imagine this crashing regularly is just gona ruin everything. It’s bad enough a lot of games are only digital or most of them, but this is basically renting. You’ll never own it.
Big games companies are expecting this to be the future of gaming, so everyone must act now if you don’t want this to become a more regular thing.

  2. Currently playing Dying Light 2 on PlayStation, it has a few minor bugs. However I’ve encountered a pretty MAJOR bug, from my personal experience after roughly 20 hours of gameplay. Certain cinematics have no audio, and the subtitles aren’t on screen. The subtitles flicker in and out, making it impossible to hear or read the dialogue.

Pretty major bug imo, for a game as heavy story driven as Dying Light.
I can hear certain cinematics and figure out the plot for the most part, something they definitely need to patch.
