Minecraft Legends goes into maintenance mode 9 months after release

the new RTS game, Minecratf Legends

Mojang and developer Blackbird have announced that after nine months on sale Minecraft Legends enters into maintenance mode. This means that the development team will take a step back from the game and presumably pursue other projects. The final batch of content for Minecraft Legends will be Lost Legends: Snow vs Snouts. Mojang and Blackbird have spent a lot of time working on tweaks and fan feedback for the game and now feel that the game is in its best possible state.

  1. Im hoping for a Minecraft Dungeons sequel, or more content for the current game. Minecraft Dungeons is one of the best dungeon crawlers i’ve played in recent times.

  2. I’ve always been so confused with Mojang’s strategy for Minecraft as a game. They never fully introduced a story, and content updates are always world building, not introducing any real story beyond it being an open world. Then they make other games like minecraft with actual linear storylines and release them alongside it.
