Former Chibi-Robo developers announce its spiritual successor koROBO

The newly formed Tiny Wonder Studio has announced a successor to Chibi-Robo: koROBO. Helmed by former members of Skip Ltd, the studio behind the original series, it will be an adventure game about a “pint-sized hero,” a robot named koROBO, as he explores his owners’ apartment in New York, performs tasks, and comes face to face with a destiny twice his size.

Tiny Wonder Studio will be hosting a Kickstarter (launching July 22) and Campfire page to raise funds for the game. We’ll keep you in the loop as more information about it comes out.

  1. I loved Chibi-Robo. This doesn’t look good, though. It looked like what would be a Playstation knockoff of Chibi-Robo (if Chibi-Robo was popular).

And now that I know that it’s being made by people from the original dev… I’m still not feeling good. Yooka-Laylee was made by ex-Rare devs and look how it turned out.

      1. I still don’t understand what’s not to love about Yooka Laylee. I’ve done multiple playthroughs. Fantastic game. Totally took me back to the Banjo heyday while still feeling modern just like it was designed to.

    1. Yes!!! This is promising. Remember guys, this is still in development. Why do you think they need it to be kickstarted still? It’s not finished, so wait until it’s done before crapping on it.

      1. Showing something for the purpose of asking for funding, without what you have being in a polished state, isn’t a good thing. That’s not to say it can’t be good game still, but it’s always reasonable to make judgements based on what is purposely shown to you.

  2. Anonymous Skywalker

Well it’s rough around the edges but it does have some potential. Never played a single Chibi Robo game, not my cup of tea but I’m happy for those who like Chibi Robo.

  3. Whatever happened to Misc: A Tiny Tale?

Hopefully this game won’t have any marital conflict baggage like the first game, or having to fractically book it to the nearest power outlet to avoid a non-standard game over.
