  1. If they continue to release low quality software then the negativity will impact sales eventually. They would do well to listen to the feedback from recent titles and make significant improvements if they want the high sales figures to continue

    1. I watched a video once where a japanese guy checked out this japanese, business social website and went to Gamefreak’s page. A lot of the employee complaints were about incompetent senior management and overall failure to adapt to the modern systems used in development.

  2. Yeah, I think somewhere along the way, they misunderstood the difference between making a simple (or more accessible) game for a younger audience and releasing a low-quality entry. I’m sorry, but these soulless titles have nothing to do with the kind of experience we had in Silver/Gold—a postgame with a whole new set of Gyms, a new region, and one of my most memorable moments in gaming (Fighting Red) —all packed into a GBC cartridge.

  3. Yeah, people, don’t forget that the current requirements are no longer the same as in the past… They were forced to adapt to a new audience with new demands… and unfortunately, even if it doesn’t please everyone (including me), the latest versions are the best-selling to date, so… And everyone is following this path, just look at what Square Enix has done with Final Fantasy… for me, the 16th is anything but a Final Fantasy, and yet some people love it, especially those who have never tried the old ones or don’t like them.

    1. Well, yes, you are right, but as long as there are people buying these games, they will not care, until is too late, like with Ubisoft. maybe we are not the demography anymore, but we are now the generation that buys the games to those kids. we should ask more from them, even more with these prices.
