Japan: Fantasy Life i debuts at No.1 this week

The latest Japanese boxed software and hardware charts have come through courtesy of the team at Famitsu and there’s a new No.1 this week. The charming Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time for the Nintendo Switch arrived at the top spot with 82K physical copies sold on the platform. On the hardware side of things it was the Nintendo Switch family of systems which was the best-selling system, shifting an additional 24,289 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 6,738 units, the Xbox Series family sold 370 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 25 units. Here’s this week’s best-sellers in The Land of the Rising Sun:

  1. My God, in Japan, Sony is really out of favor… or perhaps it’s typical for home consoles. I would be curious to know the number of units sold by the new Switch in two weeks; it’s going to hurt for Sony.

  2. For Fantasy Life The Girl Who Steals Time, anyone know how you increase the amount of “gold celestial flowers” you get for the butterfly quest. Currently i get one gold celestial flower each day, but i read that if you increase the islanders affinity and do other stuff on your island you can increase the amount of gold celestial flowers you get each day.

    Didn’t know the Switch got Ys Memoire: Memories of Celceta, of course it’s Japan and this means the west is getting it localized soon. Currently i have every Ys game that is on Switch in the west.
