US: Nintendo shifted roughly 512K Switch 2 Pro Controllers in June 2025

We know that the Nintendo Switch 2 performed extremely well at retail at launch becoming the fastest-selling video game console of all-time in the United States. But what about the console’s games and accessories? Well, it turns out that the attach rate for the premium Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller was around 32% during launch month. This means that Nintendo sold around 512,000 Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controllers.

  1. I really like this controller. I was kicking myself for not pre-ordering with my console, as they were out of stock for weeks. I’m in the UK, took me a while to get one.
It doesn’t initially look that different from the previous pro controller, but Im loving the overall feel and responsiveness (game dependent obvs).

  2. Just before i got my switch 2 my original switch 1 pro controller died, i bought another one because i thought that the chat button was something i could live without and save around 20$… well, i discovered ( the hard way) that you can´t turn on the Switch 2 remotely with the old controllers.

    1. If you can still return it just return it. The Switch 2 Pro controller upgrades are numerous especially the subtle ones and not just the C button. It’s worth it over the original.
