Capcom CEO, Haruhiro Tsujimoto, has commented on Monster Hunter Wilds sales which were huge during the game’s launch period and trailed off somewhat. When asked about the barrier of entry he unpromptedly spoke about the Nintendo Switch 2 and said that sales of the console were better than the company had anticipated. Perhaps Capcom is having regrets about not getting the latest Monster Hunter game up and running on Nintendo’s latest system.
“The Nintendo Switch 2 was released in June 2025 at a price of 49,980 yen (tax included), and the response was better than we had expected. While prices vary by country, this reaffirmed the high level of cost-consciousness among ordinary consumers.”

So no surprise Switch 2 would be doing this well no matter what the hater console warrior people try to say. If Switch 2 surpasses PS5 lifetime sales much quicker these people will lose it. Capcom could easily do well on Switch hardware they don’t need overly expensive visuals remake Mega Man Legends make Legends 3 finally, Kami 2 I think could run on Switch 2, Itsuno even said he saw how well Power Stone would do on Switch if they made a new one, the PS2/GC era games Crimson Tears, Under The Skin, Killer7, Auto Modellista, Viewtiful Joe, Gotcha Force, Maximo, make some new entries or just ports/remasters. Square is the same just remake Kingdom Hearts UnionX and Dark Road for Switch or Switch 2, Missing Link should have been a Switch or Switch 2 game those would have sold. Fans wanted a remake of 358/2 Days do that as well for Switch 2. This is not hard. Maybe Super Mario RPG 2 happens?

Capcom games are not great the recent ones just not it. Exoprimal, Dragons Dogma 2, Street Fighter 6 which I assume flopped since now they are going gooner with it except Cammy who’s swimsuit design looks weird.
