007 First Light is a Game-Key Card on Nintendo Switch 2

The lid was lifted earlier on IO Interactive upcoming Bond adventure 007 First Light which is coming our way in March 2026. Pre-orders for the game have already started and it has emerged that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will predictably be a Game-Key Card, so the game’s all-important data won’t be on the cartridge. Pricing for 007 First Light on Nintendo Switch 2 is $70.

  1. I cant, Nintendo screwed us all all over again with their stupid choices and Stubbornness I can’t see the Switch 2 lasting as long as the original at this point when every single game besides those created by Nintendo themselves are on a Key Card. I didnt buy the Switch 2 to only have $70 and $80 1st Nintendo Games

    1. $70-$90 1st and 2nd party titles are the least of your worries. These “physical” games are what’s keeping people from buying SW2 games. I’ll pass until they stop using game key cards.

    2. What was Nintendo supposed to do about this? If you think that this would be physical if GCKs didn’t exist, you’re an idiot.

Though, expecting that game prices would be cheaper than other consoles is pretty dumb too…

  2. I’m getting tired of the constant complaints every time there’s a game key card, besides the Internet isn’t reflective of reality anyway

    1. Accidentally liked your comment, would dislike it if I could. Game key cards ruin the Switch 2 for people who care about consumer rights, and you’re wrong, key cards sell horrendously. Biggest mistake Nintendo has made with the Switch 2 by miles.

      1. In what way are gamekey cards a mistake…? It’s rather the opposite, it’s an excellent compromise between digital and physical… but we prefer to bash Nintendo rather than ‘complain’ that Steam or GOG are 100% digital!

        1. Isn’t that something.

These children complain about Nintendo giving them basically a digital game, and their answer to this disapproval is to buy an ACTUAL digital game from a different store front.

It’s insane. It’s gotten to the point that people just want to complain about Nintendo for the sake of complaining.

  3. These degenerates simply cannot accept reality that digital is the wave of the future. You’ll just have to accept reality. Furthermore, I’m buying this game digitally at the eShop!

  4. And sadly I still own 1 NSW2 game Cyberpunk, cause game keys are killin reasons to buy them on switch, I’d rather own these games on my PC gaming handheld if they’re just going digital

    1. So the answer to fighting against Nintendos digital push, is to … Still buy it digital?

You realize that you’re still part of the stats that all these platform holders are looking at for pushing the new digital wave… Right?

  5. Steam isn’t shutting down any time soon. Nintendo always end up shutting down their servers and digital stores.

    1. Troll someplace else. If Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft decide to make their gaming system digital only, it’s THEIR decision… not yours. Your comment, including these random trolls posting in this thread, are 100% INVALID.

      Welcome to the Digital Era!
