Nintendo has announced that a duel pack of both Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 (also available separately) is coming to Nintendo Switch on 2nd October 2025. New storybook pages have been added to Rosalina’s story book, alongside enhanced resolution (1080p on Switch, 4K on Switch 2 via free update), improved UI, Soundtrack Mode, and an Assist Mode.
A real-life copy of Rosalina’s Storybook is also being released on the My Nintendo Store on 25th November 2025, and two new amiibo figures of Mario and Rosalina will launch 2nd April 2026, the day before the premiere of the The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
Took waaaay too long for Galaxy 2 to get a Switch port, but I’m glad it’s finally here.
I think I’ll only get Galaxy 2 as I already have the 3D collection. I would’ve liked to see what the Amiibo do in the games.
Switch 1 so no mouse controls and the visuals… Just why… They could have done so much better…
