Nintendo’s recently announced Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 ports for the Nintendo Switch 2 will feature an alternative control scheme. The Japanese site states that the game fully supports Nintendo Switch Joy-Con 2 mouse controls. This means that you will have a lovely precise and fast-paced control scheme at your disposal, that’s if you fancy playing these classic games slightly differently. Nintendo has not elaborated on how the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con 2 mouse controls will work, but no doubt there will be plenty of YouTube videos showcasing the mode when the game launches next month.

I think I’d still prefer the gyro controls, but I’ll give the mouse a try at least.

Yeah, they’ve redone some textures. It looks nice.
Seems like they really undersold this port. It might be closer to Metroid Prime Remaster than 3D All Stars.
I don’t know why they don’t just implement the gyro… These joy-cons have perfectly good gyro functionality.

I couldn’t play through Galaxy in 3D All stars. The Gyro controls are actually really bad due to needing recalibrated like every minute during gameplay in the game. Drove me insane.
Does Galaxy even need pointer controls? Didn’t it get modified to remove them for a Chinese Nvidia sheild release?
