The latest Japanese physical video game software and hardware sales have come through from Famitsu and Pokemon Legends Z-A continues to see strong sales selling an additional 267,840 retail copies across the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The best-selling video game hardware was the Nintendo Switch 2, which sold an additional 65,434 units. Here’s this best-sellers for the week of 20th October, 2025 to 26th October, 2025.

I keep hearing Legends Z-A was a flop yet the numbers don’t reflect that. Sounds like copium. Don’t get me wrong, the company has issues and the game has flaws but I’m enjoying it, especially the shiny hunting aspect.
I guess it sold less than any pokèmon game for switch in their first week? Other than that yeah, it’s selling like hot cake
I’m hoping Ninja Gaiden 4 doesn’t flop that’s a actual great game that needs success people need to support that best game of the year I would argue. On PC, PS5, and Xbox and honestly I think they need to get it to run on Switch 2 make it sell and chart!
Don’t forget that this is only Japan’s numbers. The pecking order of society there relies on you having the newest anime and nintendo merchandise over everything else.
More people need to buy Ninja Gaiden 4 help that game top the charts.
Really hope Switch/Switch2 Sparking Zero sales are high hopefully get the game into the 10 millions. We do need Ninja Gaiden 4 to do better great game
