Known video game leaker NateTheHate has recently revealed that a trio of high profile games will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch 2. The three games are the acclaimed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Metaphor: ReFantazio and the action-packed, Final Fantasy XVI. As we previously reported, Nate also said that he has heard the next big Nintendo Direct presentation is scheduled for the first week of February, so by all accounts we should see those games announced then.
“Titles like Expedition 33 will be coming to Switch 2 in 2026.”
“Other games that I’ve heard of will include Atlus with Metaphor Refantasio will be coming to Switch 2 in 2026.”
“Another game from Square Enix that I’ve heard is under consideration. And I don’t know if it’ll necessarily come out this year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s announced this year is Final Fantasy 16.”

The only one I see being viable there is Metaphor, and that’s only if they fix the horrible optimization of that game.
I would scream if these got announced in February I want Expedition 33 so desperately omg lol
It’s over if this is true
what do you mean “it’s over if this is true”?
Only interested if they are on cartridge. Otherwise, I will purchase pre-owned somewhere else.
OK, NtH is starting to spout a lot. Either the Direct does happen next week with all of those titles or he’s a hack confirmed.
Natethehate has often been right, but he has also often been wrong… he talked about a remake of 2 Fire Emblems about 2-3 years ago and nothing has happened so far… So I’m wary… especially since he says he ‘believes in FF16’ on Switch 2, but nothing indicates that, especially considering the terrible optimization Square did for this junk on PS5… they can keep it, I still prefer 15!
[sarcasm]Yes! Because that was the ONLY reason I wouldn’t play Expedition 33! If that literally who game by a literally who developer and a literally who publisher was on a Nintendo system, I would SO play it.[/sarcasm]
This is a really primitive way of expressing sarcasm.
Unlikely they will come to SW2 but if they do they are likely GKC aka pseudo-physical.
It’s one thing for these games to be rumored and even announced for the platform, it’s quite another to see if they even run and function properly on it. Time will tell how it goes. Especially in the case of final fantasy XVI, it’ll be very interesting to see how that runs on switch 2. Because if it doesn’t, might as well just buy cheaper on one of the other platforms, that is if you have more than one console at your disposal.
All will be shown at the direct
