Jeff Grubb says PlayStation Studios got Gran Turismo 7 running on Nintendo Switch 2

Video game journalist Jeff Grubb has shared an interesting tidbit in the latest episode of Game Mess Decides. Sony apparently had Gran Turismo up and running on the Nintendo Switch 2. It is not clear why the team at PlayStation Studios decided to pursue the project, though it might be related to the fact that they supposedly have a powerful handheld system in development alongside the PlayStation 6 and thought it would be an interesting project to pursue. It is very similar to Epic Games who once developed a working build of Xbox 360 game Gears of War 3 on the then new PlayStation 3 console.

  1. Gran Turismo series as a whole is truly beautiful software. I’m sure this was just an experimental, but it would be fantastic to have that on Switch

  2. Terrible entry. GT hasn’t been good for a few generations now. The last decent entry was during the PS3 generation. It’s been nothing but misses and disappointments since then. This is better than nothing I guess though.

  3. Reading that while at the same time the new Xbox boss is thinking about ‘bringing back’ exclusives to Xbox consoles.
