GameChat will need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription from 1st April and won’t work without one. Thankfully a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is relatively cheap and deals can be found at video game retailers.

Everyone I know besides me games exclusively on Steam these days. Nobody else wants to pay $500 after tax for a Switch 2 and $70 – $80 per game, plus Nintendo Online. They all gane on PC where full price games are constantly on sell for $5 – $15 and the only thing they need to pay to play online is a Internet bill. You pay a Internet bill to have online on your devices, My PC, Laptop, Phone, Tablet, VR headset Smart TV, none of those require a extra fee because that’s the point of paying for the Internet in the first place. Game Consoles Manufacturers are scamming you for more money. Also Digital Only games have no manufacturing cost, they should be less expensive on consoles.
PC gaming and console gaming are nothing alike. stop comparing them. Here are some counter points to your comment. The main console is 450$, but with mario kart world its 500$, With yoshi being 60$ the games price would be 60-80$ which only one game is 80$ and most people got it for 50$. The NSO subscription isn’t just for online, it’s for virtual console which includes hundreds of amazing games, and it’s only 20$ a year. Now for your PC argument, most games go on sale for the same price on console and PC’s, Computers are much more expensive then console around 600-3000$, PC games also launch at the same price as consoles do, so there’s no big discount. While I love PC and consoles, your argument tries to combine them which is dumb with all of the things I listed. I’m sorry your PC brain is getting angry at my comment, maybe accept consoles for their advantages??
Lol lol lol the Drip feed Nintendo Subscription service is the most pathetic subscription I’ve ever seen. The Switch came out basically eight years ago snd you barely have anything. And The Price is the same on Switch and Switch 2 yet Switch users dont get access to GameCube or Virtual Boy games and for Virtual Boy you need to pay extra. Nintendo Could have added every first party title they ever made but chose not to to artificially extend the service by drip feeding and dropping two games whenever they need good publicity or a distraction. The Nintendo Online Subscription is one of the biggest scams in gaming history. Oh boy, give old games a year and not even the ones that people want the most. The Switch 2 has been out almost a Year. Where is Mario Kart Double Dash, Sunshine, Star Fox, Mario Party. Will we get them? Maybe, when? Who knows, will we get all of Nintendo’s first party titles?, never
So hundreds of retro games that takes tens of hours to complete for only 20$ or 50$? This subscription isn’t trying to be another xbox game pass, it’s supposed to be a way to have online for online games and many classic games. The reason why playstation and xbox put their games on their subscription is because not only are they services more expensive (200-300$) but playstation and xbox don’t depend on their exclusives since most people buy their console for multiplatform games. 20$ is a steal when you think about the virtual boy costs for just the classic offer. I have 35 hours on earthbound for the SNES collection for the switch and I think just that game alone should be 20$. The expansion pack is also worth it because 64 and gamecube games can be long. Wind waker is over 50 hours, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance is 30 hours, and that’s just scratching the surface. For what the service offers, I think it’s a much better deal then xbox game pass and playstation plus.
I use both PCs and consoles. I’m not bothered by people having different tastes than me because I’m not mentally ill.
You need a online subscription to play online in games with friends, wouldn’t most people already have NSO when using gamechat?? I don’t think this is really a big deal because a lot of people don’t use gamechat and most people who use gamechat are playing online with friends which requires NSO.
Yeah, I got all the Resident Evil games (Not counting RE9) on steam for around twenty on sell for all of then, games like Oblivion remastered and the new Doom I got on sell for around twenty each as well and all the older Dooms for like seven dollars for all, got the three newest spider man games for like fifteen each, every halo for fifteen or so for all of them, all of the Tomb Raider games new and old for like ten dollars on sell for all of them, the BioShocks, Batmans, Boarderlands and more for like a dollar to three dollars a piece, the nes god of war hames and all the other PS5 PlayStation games that came to steam for twenty and under as well. Nintendo is really only for Nintendo games now, especially with the key card situation. The trade off on the original switch was you were getting the worst version of a game but at least fully physical. It isnt worth it on Switch 2.
Same prices on consoles, so both PC and Console have advantages.
That is a straight out lie Sells on the Nintendo eShop are nowhere close to the discounts on Steam.
Ok wait, I did some research and found most third party games on console and PC go on sale for the same price. Of course PC will have bigger discounts, but that’s because PC’s are thousands of dollars to begin with. Consoles are cheaper, but have less discount heavy titles.
Yeah, I have a steam account as well and the people making comments are right. Discounts on the Nintendo eShop don’t come close to Steam. Theres a reason why many of my Steam friends have close to a thousand games and why Epic Games and many others hate on Steam. Nowhere else is comming close to the sales on Steam and there is always one happening. Games on Steam when on sale are often so low it teels like they are giving them to you yet both Steam and developers still make unimaginable amounts of profit. Greed is definitely a thing and its destroying many things even if some can’t tell. I still only have two Switch 2 Games, Mario Kart World and Bananza and I didn’t like World. I got Prime 4 but got the original Switch Version because Switch 2 ruined the art on the box.
