Iconic film and animation studio Disney has apparently been mulling over whether to purchase Epic Games and its gargantuan free-to-play game, Fortnite. This new information comes from reputable tech reporter, Alex Heath, who spoke about Disney decision on Matthew Belloni’s podcast, The Town. Some higher ups at Disney believe it to be a good idea whereas others believe the polar opposite. Disney is apparently looking for a healthy studio in the gaming space according to former executives at the company.
Disney has previously considered buying Epic Games & Fortnite

They would have turned Epic into giga woke.
It already is. Sweeney defended his employees cheering on or mocking the murder of Charlie Kirk as free speech but does not allow slandering the CCP. Also pride parade coming to Fortnite so yesh….
The MLK billboard they did a few years back that was bad
It’s a shock thinking now we got Carti in Fortnite the biggest thing they had in recent years. The dead beat dad, woman abuser, who raps about gangs and drugs.
Nail in the coffin
It would kill both companies
Do it 🙏
I honestly doubt it they maybe considered it but not seriously and would have never pursued. They always talk like Bob Iger saying they considered buying WB or whatever else all the time. They do horrible either way gaming studios just look back and they’re still suffering from buying 21st Century Fox making a move like this would be a death blow. They helped kill Fortnite. I think they even have claimed they wanted to buy Activision too.
Larry Ellison should buy them and Roblox.
Yup.
How many studios Junction Point was shut down, Avalanche was sold to WB, the rest I forgot. Disney also wanted to buy Twitter or claims according to Iger who honestly I think just lies.
That greedy rat company already owns enough stuff; they should focus on improving their own domain before buying up and draining any more than they already have.
Their strategy was just buy things ever since Bob Iger took over actually even before ABC, Fox Family, ESPN, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 21st Century, Hulu, and now Fubo. The courts and politicians are bias to them too sadly and their stunted adult child millennials will riot if any acquistion was blocked or under scrutiny. I remember the meltdown over 21st Century all for Marvel. But Epic I think would want around $50 billion or more to sell and Disney would burn down doing it and sucks at running gaming divisions.
