Analytics firm says Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 third-party ecosystem sales up 76% in 2025

Video game analytic firm Ampere is reporting that combined third party software sales on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 have helped boost third party video game sales in the Switch ecosystem to $2.3billion in Q2 2025 to Q4 2025. The firm also reveals that third party sales are up 76% year-on-year as they were $1.3billion over the same period back in 2024. Warner Bros. has proved to be the biggest third party developer thanks to the ultra successful Hogwarts Legacy and other titles. Warner Bros. was followed by Bandai Namco and EA.

  1. It’s true I have been buying a ton of 3rd partys recently. It helps that amazing ports I couldn’t have played otherwise are dropping left and right lol

  2. X “genfactor” Z

I’ve been buying a bunch of 3rd party games for my Switch 2 as they go on sale because I don’t have a PlayStation or Xbox. Why are other people doing it? Is it because of light 1st party support, a failing Xbox or something else?

  3. I wonder if silksong boosted that percentage rate? People who didn’t even play hollow knight bought it the second it released, which made it chaos to download since all of the shops were down. I had to buy it through my phone one hour after it released, that day was rough.
