E3: Stunning 3 Minute Tomb Raider Trailer

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have released a brand new action-packed trailer for the Tomb Raider reboot. The game has been given a March 5th 2013 release date and is currently confirmed for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. We should hopefully hear about a Wii U release at E3 next week.

  3. Don’t hold your breath. It’s being shown at microsofts press conference. I smell another “Microsoft bought the “multiplatform” game do their version is best” scheme again….

  4. The voice bugs me. She sounds whiny. But she looks nice and her reactions to danger seem natural and believable. But I hope this isn’t suggesting the game is rife with quick-time events. (fighting the guards, fleeing rubble of falling plane bits, etc.)

    1. I agree. It doesn’t seem right, I think they might as well of not used the Tomb Raider property and created their own character.

    2. I think the point of this reboot is to break down Lara and rebuild her as a tougher gal throughout the game. So the fragility we see in the trailer probably won’t carry to the end of the game.

    3. Or perhaps they decided to break away from the “man in a female body” stereotype, and they are going to give us a real woman this time? I hope so…I feel like people are gonna complain about the same things they complained about in Metroid: Other M. I personally think this new Lara is so much more charming, and interesting than the other one. Im sold.

  6. This is the game I want the most to be on the Wii U. Really, it looks great. But I’m pretty sure it won’t :(

  7. This looks very promising. Hopefully there’s enough time to port it to the Wii U by next year if they haven’t already done so. If that doesn’t happen, maybe port its potential sequel?
