Nintendo has confirmed that Capcom’s number one mascot, Mega Man, will be added to the Super Smash Bros. roster. During its E3 Nintendo Direct presentation, the company also confirmed that an Animal Crossing Villager will be playable in the upcoming fighting game. The next Super Smash Bros. will arrive in 2014 on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.

The conference sucked. New games: a 3D Mario 3DS ripoff, another IDENTICAL donkey kong by retro, another Mario Kart, and Smash Bros. Call me names, but I never liked Smash Bros or fighting games in general, but is this really enough for you? Megaman and the animal crossing villager being in Smash Bros? The only thing I liked about the conference was the new X footage.

Comander, Nintendo just dodge the bullet by not doing the E3 conference but a simple direct show. I think they knew what was going to happen. still, most of the game trailers weren’t on the direct, so I suppose next year will be better?

Frankly, I gave up on Mario after the trailer.
SMG2 had no soul and was a glorified expansion pack.
New Super Mario Bros Wii/2/U was basically the same game over and over again
Mario 3D land was slow and insultingly easy
Then I expected the 3D mario on the Wii U to be absolutely grandiose…and it was just 3Dland with a few additions.
And then there’s also Paper Mario Sticker Star, and I don’t wanna say anything about it because out of all of them, this is the only game that made me genuinely angry.

Everybody just follow the hype train. To be honest everything was disappointment with E3 including Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, Sony, and even Nintendo (if this count). I was expecting more.

Microsoft had good games…and most of them were multiplats. It wasn’t good enough to redeem the terrible Xbox one reveal. They basically started the conference at -50% and didn’t adress the issues people had with the system and instead acted like they did nothing wrong.

I think Super Mario 3D world , Mario Kart 8 , Smash bros , X , DKCR , Bayo 2 , etc all look fantastic.. But I was just expecting more than that…

And I think Smash bros 3DS is holding back the Wiiu version again which is not ideal imo , the Wiiu should be allowed to express its full potential without having to worry about the limitations of its handheld brethren…

So if you have a PS+ on your PS3 then you have nothing to worry about for PS4. But if you don’t then you might want to consider that.

Pros: Wind Waker HD, X, Smash Bros(to an extent).
Cons: Mariokart 8, Mario World(many recylcled ideas), Bayonetta 2(sloppy), Donkey Kong Country (No Starfox really?!?), and no in depth looks at games.

This was a stupidly bad Direct. I said before that I would swear off Nintendo altogether (or something like that) if the Direct sucked, but the only reason I’m still hanging on right now is that I really think Nintendo had more things to show this week. I cannot believe that this is all Nintendo has to offer. I just CANNOT. Sooo I gotta stave my decision off for one more week and then we’ll see what happens.
On another note, what did I say? What did I say? Didn’t I say people would probably start jumping ship to other non-Nintendo things after today if Nintendo screwed up? This is probably one of many videos this week, and already people have turned their backs.
I actually enjoyed these games presented. Sure, you can’t please everyone, but I think people here are overreacting. It’s not over yet, we still have all year before they announce more games. Nothing in these games but Wii Fit You showed any experience with the game pad. That’s what’s missing.
Excited that Mega Man is gonna join. But I need clarity if Marth, Roy, or even Ike are gonna be in the game. Those were my favorite characters and it’ll be a massive letdown for me if they weren’t in it, but I doubt Nintendo would do that. Just excited and tempted to see how they improved.
