The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds has sold approximately 225,000 copies within four days in Japan. The action-adventure Nintendo 3DS game – which launched in Japan on December 26th – was the country’s best-selling game of last week, according to the latest Media Create sales records. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds has been available in North America and Europe since November 22, 2013.

This is great to hear, because LBW is amazing and deserves a ton of love for what it is. We need more games like this again. This game has been so overdue that it made me buy a 3DS a couple years early. It isn’t perfect, but it still easily ranks among the best Zelda games, and finally brings us back to some roots for the first time in a long time.
Now what would REALLY be cool is a sequel to Zelda 1 and 2, or a remake of one/both. Also Majora’s Mask.

I would love remakes for the first two games as well. They have the potential of being fantastic but are both too hard. A little easier enemies, less punishing save systems and more clues and I would buy and play them again.
I’ve only played a little bit of this game myself but it is really something. People are trading consoles to by a 3DS just so they can play this game. When Nintendo puts effort into something it usually pays off. Just imagine what Zelda HD is gonna do for the Wii U.

The game cube version is definitely better. I tried playing the wii version and stopped at the end of the Faron woods section of the game because i disliked the controls. Maybe because I had already played the game cube version first.

Have Twilight Princess for Gamecube…GREAT game! Beat ALBW…also great! Didn’t bother with Skyward Sword though…something about it bothered me. Maybe it was water-colors or draw-distance, but I never bought it. Wind Waker for Gamecube and HD for Wii U are both great!

I can see what you mean with SS. It was fun for me though and I completed it. the biggest problem for me was the limited/linear world. It felt like all you could do was complete the game. it hardly had any side quests or places to explore enough. So much could have been done for SS. Im hoping the Wii U Zelda stays true to its word about being open world

This game is one of my favorite games this decade…
I’m still amazed that Nintendo took THIS long to make a sequel to A Link To The Past. ALTTP was my very first Zelda game, and the game that caused me to become a forever Zelda fan. That alone made me instantly love A Link Between Worlds. It takes me back to some wonderful times on my Super NES.
And it was all worth it in my opinion…
Mine first was Alttp aswell, i was suprised how well this sequel outdid Alttp to be honest.
ive played alttp, never beat it i was never that crazy about it like so many other people seem to be. ill give it another chance. i prefer secret of mana over that game. completely different games but secret of mana has a zelda feel to it.

yeah it has a feel to it. the battle system is sorta like zelda. as in you just walk up to the enemy and start attacking it, just like zelda. it has a feel to it, not that its anything like it, exactly why i said they are completley different games. deeerr. it just has a touch of it.
I guess you and I are well contrasted then. I could never really get into Secret of Mana but I’ve done everything on ALttP twice. However, I have played the heck out of Secret of Evermore, which is less popular.
It was worth the wait.
My only complaints are the Mai Mai mission, and the fact that the game feels a tad short.
But then again, when it comes to Zelda, it’s always disappointing for the journey to end…
The game was very short, even shorter than WW, even though this game had like 14 dungeons but each of them lasted about 3-4 minutes, The Mai Mai mission was actually kinda decent compared to the other Scavenger missions in past Zelda games, in that if you found say 98 Mai Mais and you could see which area the last 2 are in and they give a distinct cry, but other than that I thought it was cool… but short
It felt lengthy to me, but this is coming from someone who thinks Wind Waker is lengthy as well :P It doesn’t matter though, because a game should be measured in it’s quality by how entertaining it is throughout the time spent playing.
If a game is 2 hours long, but is the greatest experience ever = good game. If a game is 35890234 hours long but is a miserable experience then it is a bad game.
Mega Man X. Perfect example of a short game with lot’s of quality, I’ve beaten that game a dozen times and will probably beat it a dozen more in my life.
