Nintendo has taken steps to cancel the NES Remix content after an exploit was found in the game. The challenge asked Nintendo fans to set their fastest times in Remix I Stage 4 “Collect all the Coins”. However, the contest was cancelled after players soon found an exploit which allowed them to set faster times than they should have. Koichi Hayashida took to Miiverse to explain what had happened and why the competition has been cancelled
“Hello Everyone. Thank you very much for participating in this event. Unfortunately, we confirmed that there is a way to exploit the challenge to achieve a faster time. In the interest of being as fair as possible, we decided to terminate the event without recognizing the fastest time. We know that you dedicated a lot of time and effort towards achieving your fastest time possible. We sincerely apologize for this matter, particularly because the vast majority of people played fairly. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you..”

Well, I’d at least like to know how to do this cheat.
He supposedly paused the game repeatedly. I tried this the first day I got the game but I didn’t achieve any faster times. Maybe he used the home button to pause but I’m pretty sure what he did was just pause repeatedly then he restarted and repeated this process multiple times until he messed with the timer.
I would never cheat at anything like that.

Any bug in the code can be fixed with a patch unless the way the code was originally written is the only way to achieve what you want in whatever game engine you are using.

Every server overloaded on that day except for xbox. Either because they have better servers or not as many users on that day. Steam, PSN, and Nintendo Network all went down for a little while. We know Steam was because they were giving away left 4 dead 2 for free for a limited time and everyone was downloading, and we know Nintendo was because of all the new wiiU’s updating for the first time plus pokemon bank.
