Great news for fans of Mario Kart 8 as Nintendo has announced on Miiverse that the latest DLC pack is in the final stages of development. It’s due to be released some time in May, which isn’t too far away to be honest. So who is looking forward to the Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8 DLC?

Quality as well as Quantity. That’s how I prefer my games. The game can be 100+ hours longm but if the game isn’t fun or if things get drawn out unnecessarily, then I won’t like it. The same goes for games that are well polished, but are too short, I don’t like that either. I like a 50/50 blend of both, that’s why I love Smash Bros…
What about games that are fun but too long? Lol.
I’m fine with it because I’m getting a fun game that makes me feel emersed in the game and more connected to the characters in the game…
I’m sick of those. They are so great to play, but I never reach a point where I can just put the game away, and start on the next one… Hyrule Warriors is almost like that, and Smash is exactly like that…
Yea, 6 months because Nintendo makes their dlc after the original game is finished. Your so used to getting dlc quickly because most 3rd parties develop the game and DLC Simultaneously. Some 3rd parties probably develop dlc BEFORE even making the game it goes with..lol.
I’ve heard horror stories about how some developers release half of a game and then charge the rest of the game as overpriced DLC.

Developing games takes time. Nintendo wants to make sure that the tracks, the karts and the characters are as well polished as it can be. I understand that and I don’t go complaining about it, unlike some……

Yeah I know man, their acting was awful (plus they smiled a lot, seems they couldn’t help it), but still, I found the ideas and jokes to be so good. Maybe they could remake it in the future with better acting. Dude, watch the Pokemon Awkward Interview 2013 in their channel, you might laugh your ass of as much as I did.

lol my chances of running into them are pretty slim now that I’m a member of the sunshine state! but yeah it’s just cool seeing others from indiana, there are a lot of people down here that are from Indiana, Michigan, and Illinios.

Haha, the whole maple syrup thing, probably not as much as everybody says, hockey is huge here though. I guess it’s a way to keep our minds off all this cold for a bit, but I don’t really follow it much, haha…I’ve still yet to try Beaver Tails (not literally LOL). I hear it’s a really good snack. lol, I actually don’t know if it’s a James Dean reference, I’ve heard it around the internet so many times, haha. By the way my joke wasn’t even a stereotype, it was a lame attempt at trying to jokingly pick up from what I’ve seen in one video. Just wanted to use what I had, lol. About the videos these guys make, I think their ideas and stuff more than make up for bad acting, and weirdly enough, the main guys can pull off some nice acting at some parts. For example, if you look at their latest Captain Toad video right at the start, the guy playing as Mario pulls off some hilarious acting and tone of voice. Sometimes they hit and miss in my opinion. The supporting cast definitely sucks though, since they probably aren’t really into film like the main guys.
yeah I think the main guy is the best actor out of all of them, I haven’t watched the captain toad one yet I’ll have to do that

The Zelda dlc was pretty awesome, I bought the whole deal when it first went on sale… definitely looking forward to this too.

The DLC will be awesome. I hope that the Animal Crossing track changes based on the time of day that you play on it, with a random set of Animals as spectators every time you play on the track(like the certain segments change on the Excitebike track,) and K.K Slider tunes playing in place of the actual track theme on Saturday’s after 8pm, like in Animal Crossing…
By time of day, I mean the lighting, Sunshine in the morning and afternoon, sunset in the evening and dark lighting at night time…

Is there any hope it will release sooner? Mk8 is my most played game because of offline multiplayer.
If it’s almost done, why are they waiting another 2-3 months to release it?
This is assuming it’s been fully bug-tested and everything runs seamlessly. If it’s ready 2 months early, why not release it 2 months early?
They’re probably doing it to release something very close to E3, to build up some hype.
I still want to see Nintendo add the following options into the game:
From Double Dash – Lap count editor. It was nice that you could have up to 9 laps.
New option – Allow the player to make Mario Kart 7’s RB Road\Mario Kart 64’s RB Road sectioned courses into lap track versions. Just add an option to flip it to section mode or lap mode. This could also work for the other two sectioned tracks from MK7.
